What: Life Drawing
Where: SF's SOMA District, (1 block away from Yerba Buena Gardens 4 block from Powell BART)
When: TBD
Cost: TBD

Artists, Models, and Other Creatively-Wired Individuals,

We are putting together a group of people interested in honing their life drawing and/or modeling skills.

ARTISTS:
As there will be no official teacher for the class this is meant for people who are comfortable being self-directed artists. However, if you wish, people of varying skill levels and experience can help and guide each other.

MODELS:
We value diversity so all types of models are encouraged to join regardless of sex, gender, ethnicity, body type. Ideally we would have a good mix of different kinds of models as well as artists

What we offer is a modern and clean studio (with a bathroom) in safe part of SF 4 blocks away from Powell BART

As of today we have these time slots available:
Mondays: 1:00 PM-3:00 PM
Tuesdays: 8:30 AM-12:00 PM, 1:00 PM-3:00 PM
Wednesdays: 1:00 PM-4:00 PM
Fridays: 7:30 PM-9:30 PM
Saturdays: 3:30 PM-9:30 PM
Sundays: 11:00 AM-8:00 PM

Ideally we would like to have a sizable group or groups that meet regularly so that we can make it worthwhile for everyone involved.

If you are interested please let me know:
1. If you are a model, artist, or both
2. You schedule preferences

If you know other people that might be interested please pass this along to them. If you have any further questions please contact me at my email or tribe.
Despite the Christian moral codings!!!
Poppie's is a special Jewish oriented deli for those who celebrate
that culture and tradition. The Menorah, the the eight candles by light,
one every eveing, plus the "shamash", the boss candle lights them

Hi

I participate in the exhibition "Democracy and Desire", masterminded by the Swedish artist Per Hüttner. The exhibition will take place at Vacio 9 in Madrid during 23rd of November 2006 to 8th of January 2007. The show does not quite work like other exhibitions. It will start out like a traditional photography exhibition, but during the run of the exhibition more and more texts and images will be added to the walls of the gallery. The exhibition will thus not be completed until it is over and You, the visitor to the gallery, are also encouraged to bring material that you feel is relevant to the topic to be included in the exhibition (more info about how this is done practically can be found on the website www. democraciaydeseo.com)

In conjunction with the exhibition I and my colleagues will do a series of events. The events, just like the exhibition, aspire to create a discussion about democracy and desire and how the two refer to one another.

I will arrange a Drag King performance which will be accompanied by a workshop. I think that Drag is a strong and significant expression that raise several questions about sexuality and who we really are. My purpose is to toss and turn concepts like gender, sexuality, feminism, lust and desire. I am looking for contributions and Your input is of greatest importance for me. I am very eager to get in touch with people, preferably in Spain/Madrid that is involved in these in Drag King activities or similar. If you are interested or know a group or person who would like to participate I would be eternally grateful if you could e-mail me at kakfras@gmail.com or forward the information to your friends and colleagues. The events will take place the last week of November. So I need to hear from you very soon.

Best regards
Announcing the launch of my FREE Seth D8 art print source!

As an artisan I have two categories I work in, digital illustration and commercial graphic design. I have chosen to freely share my digital illustration with anyone whom would like a print. I have plenty of commercial clients to satisfy my financial needs, plus I know I will always have all of needs met in every way before I have even asked. I love sharing my digital illustration because when a person is drawn to a piece incidental love is created and the love of creation is reflected back to me. And I love, LOVE!

I have uploaded a large selection of my digital art in hi resolution format to shutterfly.com, I have also set up a page their to access and order the prints. They offer everything from 4x6 prints to 24x36 inch prints in amazing detail and color. You can even create your very own Seth D8 art book of your favorite pieces, all for very reasonable rates. The only cost involved is the production of the prints, and I do not get a cut or add a commission to the service. It is at cost, and my art is completely free for personal use.

Please feel free and browse my current selection and get prints of anything you like, and the best part is you get to be part of the creative process by choosing exactly the correct size and media to suit your need. I will be uploading new hi resolution images a couple times a month so be sure and subscribe to my new Artisantastic illustration RSS feed. When I produce a new image it is immeaditly added to the feed, so you will always be up to date with my latest creations. And believe me I am a prolific artist creating new pieces on a daily basis.

The Following is the Call for 60 second silent video shorts for the 60x60 project in 2006

Vox Novus is inviting video artists to submit silent video shorts 60 seconds or less in length to be included in its fourth annual collaboration with the 60x60 project. 60 videos will be paired with 60 audio tracks from composers selected that year. The screening will include the 60 video shorts paired with the audio shown in succession for one hour.

There will be no pause between the pieces. Works may be less than 60 seconds in length, but may not exceed 60 seconds. Credits will be added to the end of the feature. Video selected that is less than 60 seconds long will be “padded” with neutral frames either before, after, or surrounding the composition. Please note that the total duration of the work including silence may NOT exceed sixty seconds.

Excerpts of larger works are strongly discouraged. 60x60 is a project of “signature works” and short works created specifically for the 60x60 project.

The call is open to artists of any nationality, age, or career stage. Works submitted must not have been previously performed or broadcasted. Submissions must be labeled with the artist's name and the title of the work. The submission form must be sent at the same time with the submitted work. Submission form must contain the artist’s name, address, email, phone number, title, length, and credits on a separate sheet (typed). Biographies and program notes may be included on a separate sheet, but must be typed and each may be no longer than 100 words in length.

Multiple works may be submitted. Each work must be noted on the submission form(s) and clearly indicated. Do Not send originals! No works will be returned, and may be performed in subsequent performances after the debut concert. All submissions must be postmarked by September 15, 2006. Selected works will be announced on December 15, 2006. Submission of the work(s) in DV must be accompanied by the submission form and sent to:

DONATE YOUR BEAUTIFUL ARTWORK!
So, what I'm asking is for artists to donate a small piece to be auctioned off at this event. I'm hoping to get 15 to 20 or so small pieces (no bigger than 12"x16"). Photographs, paintings, prints, collage, are all welcomed formats. Why not get some exposure for your art while helping some folks out who really need it!!!!!

Please send me an image of your piece via email or through a forwarded URL. to: treiops@treiops.com

I also have a demented sense of humor...along the lines of Charles Addams, Ed Gorey, Roman Dirge, etc... I would also like some advice. I have been trying to sell my art to fund a doctor's visit for my foot. I am a stagehand and can't work my normal gigs because of the foot...it isn't broken- more likely tendon, ligament, or tissue damage. So I need to see a Podiatrist to fix it. Does anyone have any advice on good ways to get my name out there? I have 4 pages set up for the art and an e-Bay store...limited success so far... If you would like to peruse my art and offer feedback, here is my Deviant Art link: http://triciakitty.deviantart.com . Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

I am mailing these books to artist around the world, they elaborate on them and send them back to me, I am working on finding a gallery to show the completed works, but combinding them all into one reproducable book would be ideal. This is the first time I have mailed out books, I have done postcards before and I have made several artist books, so I decided to combind my two endeavors.
The theme of the project is "Aries - the Golden Fleece". Working around the central figure of the golden fleece (which I would like to do), other artists would bring in bits of the story of how the fleece came to exist and how Jason and the argonauts came to possess it (skeletal army, dragons, etc)
